Haiku set#3

July 09 023

This is a set of haiku I wrote about writing poetry.

1.

The picture painted

A thousand words but the rule

Is five seven five.

2.

A poem is born

Within the woumb of the mind

Seeds long ago sown

3.

Where do they come from

Little bubbles of thoughts

We call poetry

4.

Ink does the bidding

As paper once blank becomes

Words framed in haiku

5.

How hard can it be

To find poetic Rhythem

Not rhyming a word

6.

Since rules are the rule

Seventeen is the number

For poems like this

7.

Ink my humble slave

Help me bring thoughts inside me

To life on this page

8.

Words float on the winds

They long to be found and read

I catch all I can

9.

Unspoken words float

In the mind arranging thoughts

Into poetry

10.

Blank Paper and ink

Wait for words to be written

Such lackeys they are.

11.

People like poems

Short and sweet (no Chit- chatting)

Just five seven five

12.

There is nothing like

Poems with Rhythem and rhyme

But rules rule haiku

13.

Ink dried on paper

Created  one more haiku

That went by the rules

14
Poems are born where
Ink painted pictures dry on
Papermache thoughts

15.
Thoughts like water find
The path of least resistance
Escaping in words

16.
Ink can be trusted
To take visions held silent
And feed the Blank page

17.

Sometimes it’s best
To write outside the poem
Defying the rules

18.

Eager eyes return
To read a stranger’s visions
Rewriting the words.

19.

Love framed in haiku
Sounds inviting to picture
And worthy of ink.

20.
