Whispers ment for god

In a building down off 1st street
Is a shelter from the wind and rain
The reality of winters chill
Is why most of them came.
I work here my job is easy but I find the pressures hard
Cause every night till mornings light
I hear whispers ment for god.

Whispers in the night
Whispers ment for god
All night long I can hear
Homeless whispers ment for god

Off and on throughout the night
They knock and I let them in
Most days every bed is used
By nine o’clock or ten
Them nights I whisper Jesus
Don’t let me fall apart
When I hear outside the door
Whispers as they knock..
The angry ones the curse him
Others ask him in their heart
Some seem not to know him
As they whisper in the dark
I work here my job is easy
But I find the pressure hard
Cause every night till morning light
I hear whispers ment for god.
